Family-Friendly #SummerServe Days 2018

Put your hands & feet to work serving our neighbors throughout the summer!

These family-friendly #SummerServe days will be Saturday morning work projects designed to provide tangible opportunities to serve a neighbor in need.

June 30: Decatur Cares Mobile Food Pantry

7:45 am—10:00 am ~ Parking Lot of FUMC Decatur

Come serve with the Decatur community by unloading fresh produce from the Tarrant Area Food Bank to provide for our food insecure neighbors across Wise County. Each month, Decatur Cares serves 150-200 families with fresh produce. Volunteers are needed to help unload the truck, stock the tables, and help families with groceries out to their cars. We’ll be serving in the parking lot of FUMC Decatur (104 S. Miller St.). Wear comfortable clothes & closed-toe shoes!

July 14: PreSchool Painting & Prep

8:00 am—12:00 pm ~ FUMC Decatur Preschool

Come serve the Preschool by helping prepare for the new school year! We’ll pitch in to paint new classrooms, wax floors, clean equipment, organize supplies, and help get the Preschool facility ready for the 20+ families from across the Decatur community who will be entering the space with little ones this fall! Wear comfortable clothes & closed-toe shoes you don’t mind getting paint on!
