Lent Sermon Series

Lent 2020
A Pecan Street Mission Sermon Series

“Walking” is often used throughout Scripture as a way of speaking about our life with God. Walking with God, like physical walking, is an exercise that requires practice. Too often, we focus simply on the beliefs of the Christian faith without practicing how we live those out. This Lent, we’ll examine some of the core practices – often called spiritual disciples or holy habits – that help Christians put hands and feet to our faith. Through practicing these essentials habits of the Christian life and integrating them into our daily walk with God, we may find that following in the footsteps of Jesus is an everyday endeavor. Join the Decatur Methodist Family this Lent as we “practice” walking our faith together.
