Rev. Ricky Harrison
Ricky received his Bachelor of Arts in Religion from McMurry University in Abilene, TX. While in Abilene, he was active in campus ministry and served for a year at St. James UMC where he had the joy of preaching weekly and working with youth.
In 2014, Ricky moved to Durham, North Carolina, where he pursued a Master of Divinity at Duke Divinity School. During seminary, Ricky served on staff at Apex United Methodist Church in ministry with youth and their families. After graduating in 2017, Ricky was commissioned by the North Texas Annual Conference and moved back to Texas to serve FUMC Decatur.
Ricky’s family resides in Wichita Falls, where his mother serves at First United Methodist Church. In his free time, Ricky loves to read theology and fantasy fiction, spend time in the mountains, experiment with cooking, and listen to Willie Nelson. He can typically be found sporting a pair of Chacos during all seasons of the year in perpetual protest against closed-toe shoes.
